RSDF ‘Antiques Roadshow’

Dr Stewart Manning Goodwill Ambassador to The RSDF hosted a Valuation Day for Hansons Auctioneers at Donisthorpe Hall Care Home in Leeds.

Stewart told us  “I have been organizing these monthly events since last year. People bring items to be valued by experts from Hansons Auctioneers, similar to “ The Antiques Roadshow “ on TV.

Some attendees then consign their items to be sold at auction, and many have given a small donation to the RSDF as a thank you for the free valuation.

We feel that raising the profile of the Charity is equally as important as fundraising because this helps us to receive more referrals for financial help.

The RSDF are extremely keen to work with other charities, and Donisthorpe benefits by receiving a fee for using their facilities.

We have hosted other successful Valuation Days with Hansons at Stephen Smiths Garden Centre in Otley.

We have also had stands at a variety of relevant meetings over the past year to enable us to reach out to more people who can benefit from the Robert Sinclair Davidson Foundation.
