A few words from Suzanne Davidson – Robert’s Mum

How do I put pen to paper to tell you about my lovely son Robert who died at the age of just 34 years.

As a parent, you hope your children will outlive you and they will kiss your very old, well lived-in face as you say goodbye and shut your eyes.  I never thought I would bend over my Robert, my baby that I brought into this world, and kiss his young pained face and watch him die in front of my eyes.

Robert was very brave and his dying wish was to set up this Charity.  Apart from the support of his family, it was the creation of this wonderful Charity and the extraordinary people involved in this Charity that made his last weeks and months more comfortable and dignified.

So as Robert’s mum, I will do everything I can to make this Charity work.

We never know what is going to happen in life and as Robert used to say “life is beautiful”.
