Our Heroes > Andrew Runs The London Marathon
Due to Covid-19 the London Marathon has been postponed until October 2020.
We are delighted that Andrew Saffer has our charity place in the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2020.
Stay tuned for Andrew’s training updates and progress on undertaking this momentous challenge.
Andrew says: “This year I am taking part in my first ever (and possibly only) marathon. I will be running to raise funds for The Robert Sinclair Davidson Foundation which is a charity extremely close to my heart. When we were younger, Robert and I always said that we would do certain things together. Running the Marathon is one of them. When he was initially diagnosed with MND I started entering the ballots for London and New York Marathons in the hope I could run while he was still alive. Unfortunately, I never got a place. Now our charity has one but sadly Robert won’t be able to see me run. I will keep my part of our deal and hope you will all give as generously as you can so that the Robert Sinclair Davidson can continue to help young families struggling to deal with life-limiting and terminal illnesses”
